Hon. Timothy A. Williams is a judge for the Washington County Court of Common Pleas (Probate and Juvenile Division) in Ohio. He was elected to the bench in February 1997.
Williams received a B.A. in business administration and management from Ohio Northern University in 1980. He went on to complete a J.D. at Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law in 1984. While a law student, he served as associate editor of the Ohio Northern University Law Review.
He was licensed as an attorney in Ohio and West Virginia.
After graduating from law school, Williams began his legal career as a private practice attorney, working in that capacity until joining the bench. In addition, he spent several years as a part-time Juvenile Court magistrate in Washington County (1989 to 1997).
Williams, a resident of Marietta, is married and has two grown children. He identifies as a Catholic.
