Hon. Thomas M. Walsh is a judge for the Queen Anne’s County Orphans’ Court in Maryland. He has sat on the bench since 2018.
Walsh was first appointed to the county’s Orphans’ Court by former Governor Martin O’Malley in 2014, though he lost his bid for election to retain his seat later that same year.
A physician, he received an M.D. at Rush Medical College in 1978. Walsh later completed a residency program in Family Practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center of Baltimore in 1981.
After his residency, he opened a medical practice in Anne Arundel County and on Kent Island. Walsh went on to become part-owner of Maryland Primary Care Physicians in Queenstown.
A former Democrat, he changed his party affiliation and is now registered as a Republican.
