The Hon. Thomas L. Trimble (Ret.) served as a judge on the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of South Dakota. Trimble was appointed to the bench by former Governor Bill Janklow in 1995. He retired in 2014.
The 7th Judicial Circuit encompasses Custer, Fall River, Pennington, and Oglala Lakota counties.
Prior to his appointment, Trimble was a partner at Sieler & Trimble, a legal practice based in Rapid City.
Trimble earned a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State College. He then completed a J.D. at the University of South Dakota School of Law. He is licensed to practice in South Dakota (1971).
