The Hon. Thomas W. Clark (Ret.) was a magistrate for the 6th Judicial District Magistrate Division of Idaho. He was appointed to the bench by the District Magistrate Commission of the 6th Judicial District on December 30, 2009. Clark retired on August 31, 2023.
The 6th Judicial District includes Bannock, Bear Lake, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida, and Power Counties. Clark held an assignment in Bannock County, including presiding over the Domestic Violence Court.
Prior to his appointment, he worked for twenty-six years in private practice. During that time, Clark spent six years at Clark & Clark and Whittier, Souz & Clark and fourteen years at Merrill & Merrill.
He received a B.S. in business finance from Brigham Young University. Clark then completed a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law.
He served as a member of the Statewide Domestic Violence Advisory Team (co-chair) and the 6th Judicial District Executive Board of the Idaho Magistrate Judges Association. Clark is also a past president of the 6th District Bar Association, the Portneuf Inn of Court, and the Rotary Club of Pocatello. In addition, he served as an appointed member of the Idaho Judicial Council.
Clark received the Idaho State Bar Professionalism Award for the 6th Judicial District in 2010.
He and his wife, Camille, have five children and seventeen grandchildren.
