Biography

The Hon. Terrence M. Aronson (Ret.) served as a judge for the 6th Judicial District Court of Minnesota. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jesse Ventura in 2001 and re-elected in 2004, 2010, and 2016.


The 6th Judicial District includes Carlton County, Cook County, Lake County, and St. Louis County.


Prior to his appointment, Aronson was a partner at Colosimo, Patchin, Aronson, Kearney, Lindell & Brunfelt, a law firm he joined in 1988. Before that, he spent time as a staff attorney at Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota (1982 to 1988).


Aronson earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in 1970. He then completed a J.D. at St. Louis University School of Law in 1973.


After graduating from law school, Aronson began his legal career as a staff attorney for the Urban Coalition of Minneapolis. He later began working as staff counsel for Helping Industry Resolve Employment Disabilities before entering into private practice.
