The Hon. Susan E. Wiebe (Ret.) served as a judge for the 3rd Judicial District Court of Idaho. Wiebe was appointed to the bench by former Governor Butch Otter on September 11, 2009, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Stephen Drescher. She retired in 2021.
The 3rd Judicial District encompasses Adams, Canyon, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and Washington Counties.
Prior to her appointment, Wiebe was an attorney in private practice in Boise and Caldwell. Before that, she spent time as a deputy attorney general in the Idaho Attorney General’s Office.
Wiebe earned a bachelor’s degree from Boise State University. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law.
After graduating from law school, Wiebe served as a deputy prosecutor for the Boundary County Prosecutor’s Office. She was also an assistant city attorney for the Coeur d’Alene City Attorney’s Office and a deputy prosecutor for the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office.
Wiebe was born and raised in North Carolina.
