Hon. Stephen A. Bradley is a judge for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Superior Court in Georgia. He was elected to the bench in 2020.
The Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit is comprised of Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Morgan, Putnam, and Wilkinson Counties.
At the time of his election, Bradley was the District Attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit, a position to which he was appointed by former Governor Nathan Deal in 2015. Prior to that, he had worked as its chief assistant district attorney since 2007 and assistant district attorney since 1994.
Bradley received a B.A. in English and history from Emory University in 1991. He went on to complete a J.D. at Samford University, Cumberland School of Law in 1994. While a law student, Bradley was a Marvin E. Jones Fellow and served as a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team (lead oralist), the Henry Upton Sims Moot Court Board, and the Trial Advocacy Board.
His memberships have included the District Attorneys Association of Georgia, the Milledgeville Bar Association, and the Ocmulgee Circuit Bar Association.
From a civic standpoint, Bradley was involved with the Baldwin County High School Mock Trial Team (founding coach), Leadership Baldwin Association (president), the Boy Scouts (District Chair), and the Chard Wray Food Pantry (volunteer).
He has also trained domestic violence victims as a speaker at the In Our Best Interest Program and was a speaker at the Blandy Hills Elementary School Law Day and for D.A.R.E. at Wilkinson County Elementary, Eagle Ridge Elementary, and Sinclair Christian Academy.
Bradley is a native of Florida. He and his wife, Lisa, have two daughters. The family attends St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
