The Hon. Stephanie Bennett is a judge for the Sumter County Probate Court in Georgia. She was elected to the bench on May 24, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Judy Reeves.
Prior to her election, Bennett was the Program Director of Southwest Georgia CASA. She worked collaboratively with the Department of Family and Children's Services as well as three juvenile courts to ensure children find safe and permanent homes.
Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration (human resources) from Georgia Southwestern State University. She spent the next ten years working as a human resources manager before completing two master’s degrees at Troy University, one in education and the other in business administration.
She was born and raised in Americus, Georgia.
