Hon. Stacy Youmans is a judge for the 5th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2019, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Willard Pope.
The 5th Judicial Circuit encompasses Citrus County, Hernando County, Lake County, Marion County, and Sumter County. Youmans has held assignments in Marion and Citrus Counties, presiding over family law, domestic relations, and probate cases.
At the time of her appointment, Youmans was a partner at Blanchard, Merriam, Adel & Kirkland. Her areas of practice included family law and personal injury matters as well as criminal defense cases. Before that, Youmans spent eight years as an assistant state attorney with the Felony Division of the Office of the State Attorney for the 5th Judicial Circuit.
She received an A.B. in English from the University of Georgia in 1997. Youmans went on to complete a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law, in 2000.
A former resident of Douglas, Georgia, she was residing in Ocala, Florida, at the time of her appointment.
