The Hon. Sally Kirby-Turner is a judge for the Cleveland County Superior Court in the 27B Judicial District of the 5th Division in North Carolina. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Roy Cooper in 2023, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Forrest Donald Bridges.
The 27B Judicial District also includes the Lincoln County Superior Court.
Prior to her appointment, she was an assistant district attorney in Cleveland and Lincoln Counties. Before that, Kirby-Turner worked as a contract attorney at Davis & Hamrick, LLP.
She received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kirby-Turner then completed a J.D. at Wake Forest University School of Law.
