The Hon. Ryan J. Moore is a judge for the Warren County General Sessions Court in Tennessee. He was elected to the bench on August 4, 2022.
Over the course of his judicial career, Moore has also presided by jurisdiction over the Warren County Juvenile Court.
Moore earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Belmont University in 2002. He spent the next decade working as a sales manager at Supreme Building Products before completing a J.D. at Nashville School of Law in 2013.
After graduating law school, Moore opened his own private practice as a sole practitioner. He worked in that capacity until his election to the bench, supplementing his practice with service as a town attorney for the Town of Morrison (2013 to 2014) and a judge for the Morrison Municipal Court (2014 to 2022).
His memberships have included the Tennessee Bar Association and the Warren County Bar Association. He has also been involved with Heritage Alliance McMinnville and the McMinnville Breakfast Rotary Club, and he has served on the McMinnville Historic Zoning Commission and the Board of Directors of the McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center.
He is a recipient of the Golden Award for Historic Preservation from Main Street McMinnville (2020) and the Attorney for Justice Award from the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission (2020).
A life-long resident of Warren County, Moore and his wife, Ashley, have two children. The family attends Westwood Church of Christ.
