The Hon. Ronald Everett Bensten (Ret.) was a judge for the 7th Judicial District Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court of Virginia in Newport News. He was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly in 1991. Bensten retired after reaching the state's mandatory age of retirement.
Prior to his election, he handled a general law practice in Denbigh, where his practice focused on civil and criminal matters.
Bensten received a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary. He then completed a J.D. at Yale Law School.
Bensten attended Warwick High School.
