Biography

Hon. Robert A. Randich is a judge for the Newington Probate Court (District 7) in Hartford County, Connecticut. He joined the bench in 2006.

Probate District 7 includes the towns of Newington, Rocky Hill, and Wethersfield.

Randich was a former attorney at the West Hartford law firm of Shipman, Shaiken & Schwefel, LLC. He retired from the firm in 2018.

He was also formerly associated with Cohen, Wakim & Merlin, P.C. (1991 to 2002) and Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin (1983 to 1991).

He received a B.A. from the University of Connecticut in 1983. Randich went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1986.

He was admitted to practice in Connecticut and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Randich has sat as a Connecticut Probate Assembly Officer (treasurer).
