The Hon. Richard McVinney (Ret.) was a judge for the Oneonta City Court in Otsego County in the Sixth Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to the City Court bench in 2016 and retired in 2019. He was succeeded by the Hon. Donald J. Schwartz, who was appointed to fill his seat upon his retirement.
McVinney holds a J.D. from Albany Law School.
Prior to joining the bench, he practiced as an attorney at Vanwoert and McVinney.
