Hon. Rebecca S. McGinley is an associate circuit judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. She was elected to the bench in 2018.
The 4th Judicial Circuit Court includes Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth Counties.
Prior to her election, McGinley was the material program manager and in-house counsel at Alliant Techsystems, Inc., where she had worked since 2008. Before that, she served in Washington, D.C., as a senior attorney with the United States Office of Special Counsel (2004 to 2008) and a Special Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia (2007).
McGinley also spent seven years as a part-time security supervisor for the Kansas City Chiefs (1997 to 2004) and was an associate at Wallace, Saunders, Austin, Brown & Enochs, Chtd. (2000 to 2004).
She received a B.S. in criminal justice from Central Missouri State University in 1995. McGinley went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1998. She was admitted to practice in Missouri (1999), the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri (1999), Kansas (2000), and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas (2000).
After graduating from law school, McGinley began her legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. John R. O’Malley with the 16th Judicial Circuit Court (1999 to 2000).
Her memberships have included the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges, the Missouri Association of Treatment Court Professionals, the 4th Circuit Bar Association, and the 4th Circuit DWI Treatment Court Team. McGinley was also appointed by the Supreme Court of Missouri to serve on its Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness.
From a civic standpoint, she was a big sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
McGinley was born in Albany, Missouri. She and her husband, Mark Krawczyk, have two children.
She is registered as a Republican.
