Hon. Raylene D. Grischow is a circuit judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois in Sangamon County. She was appointed to the bench in 2018.
The 7th Judicial Circuit Court includes Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Morgan, Sangamon, and Scott Counties.
Prior to joining the bench, Grischow was a partner in the Springfield office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP. Her areas of practice included commercial litigation, employment litigation, municipal law, and the defense of general liability, personal injury, automobile liability, premises liability, and property damage claims. In addition, Grischow served as the city attorney for the City of Auburn.
She received a B.S. from Illinois State University in 1994. Grischow went on to complete a J.D. at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 1998.
She was admitted to practice in Illinois (1999), the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and Colorado (2001).
Grischow has served as vice chair of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Professional Responsibility and was a past president of the Sangamon County Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division.
She is registered as a Republican.
