The Hon. Philip C. Vieux (Ret.) served as a judge for the 25th Judicial District Court of Kansas. Vieux was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Carlin in 1982. He retired on August 7, 2015.
The 25th Judicial District encompasses Finney, Greeley, Hamilton, Kearny, Scott, and Wichita Counties.
Prior to his appointment, Vieux worked as an attorney in private practice. He also spent time as a municipal judge and an assistant county attorney.
Vieux earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State Teachers College. He then completed a J.D. at Washburn University School of Law in 1976.
