Hon. Phemonia Miller is a commissioner for the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. She joined the bench in 2005.
During her tenure as a commissioner, Miller has held assignments in the Criminal, Family, Civil, and Probate Courts.
Prior to joining the bench, she worked for two years as a legal defender with the Maricopa County Legal Defender’s Office (2003 to 2005).
Before that, Miller was an assistant attorney general with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (1999 to 2003) and a public defender with the City of Tucson Public Defender’s Office (1993 to 1999).
She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Southern University in 1985. Miller went on to complete a J.D. at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1990.
Prior to entering the public sector, she practiced as an associate in the Law Office of Larry S. Rosenthal (1992 to 1993).
