The Hon. Peter D. Eliades is a judge for the 6th Judicial District Court of Virginia. He was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly on July 1, 2022.
The 6th Judicial District encompasses the Cities of Hopewell and Emporia as well as the Counties of Brunswick, Greensville, Prince George, Surrey, and Sussex.
Prior to his election, Eliades was a partner at Eliades & Eliades, a legal practice based in Hopewell. During his tenure there, he represented clients in criminal defense and personal injury matters.
Eliades earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Richmond School of Law in 1984. He is licensed to practice in Virginia (1984), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (1984), and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit (1985).
