The Hon. Patty Walters Laine is a judge for the Hall County Probate Court in Georgia. She was elected to the bench in 2012.
Prior to her election, Laine spent ten years as an attorney in private practice in Gainesville. Before that, she was a law clerk and staff attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Superior Court.
Laine earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Furman University. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law.
Her memberships have included the Northeastern Circuit Bar Association and the Council of Probate Court Judges of Georgia. She has also been involved with the GFWC Gainesville Phoenix Woman’s Club and the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
Born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, Laine attended Gainesville High School. She and her husband, Jesse, have two daughters. They attend Redwine United Methodist Church.
She is registered as a Republican.
