The Hon. Patricia A. Harrington is a judge for the Nassau County Court in the Tenth Judicial District of New York. She was elected to the County Court in 2014.
She is a registered Republican.
Judge Harrington graduated with her B.A. in mathematics from Newton College of the Sacred Heart in 1974. She went on to earn her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 1977.
After graduating from law school, Harrington joined the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where she worked as an assistant district attorney for nine years.
She left the public sector in 1987 to practice as an attorney with Capetola and Doddato. Three years later, Harrington entered into solo practice. She remained in that capacity until 1995.
It was at that time, she joined the New York State Unified Court System, where she served as a principal law clerk with the Nassau County Court for eighteen years. She was serving in that capacity at the time of her election to the same court.
Her memberships have included the Nassau County Bar Association, the Catholic Lawyers Guild, and the Nassau County Courthouses Kiwanis.
