The Hon. Patrice J. Eichman is an associate judge for the 1st Judicial District Court of Iowa. She was appointed to the bench in 2018.
The 1st Judicial District includes the Allamakee, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Grundy, Howard, and Winneshiek counties.
Eichman completed a J.D. at the University of Iowa College of Law in 1989. She was admitted to practice in Nevada (1996) and Iowa (1989).
Before her appointment, Eichman spent time as an assistant public defender with the Office of the Iowa Public Defender. She also served as the director of admissions and assistant bar counsel for the State Bar of Nevada, and she clerked for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
Her memberships include the Iowa State Bar Association.
