The Hon. Pamela J. Baker is a judge for the East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court in Louisiana. She joined the bench in 2007.
Baker has served as Chief Judge of the Baton Rouge Family Court.
She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University in 1981. Baker then completed a J.D. at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in 1984.
She worked for twenty-one years in private practice at Saltamachia & Baker, where her practice focused on family law matters.
Baker is a past president of the Louisiana Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges Association and sits as its appointee to the Law Institute Commission. She is also a past president of the First Circuit Judges Association and the Louisiana Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Additionally, Baker has served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Judicial Education Curriculum Project, the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice Victim Services Advisory Board, the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court of Louisiana, and the Louisiana Supreme Court Technology Commission.
She is registered as a Republican.
