Biography

The Hon. Odessa Kennedy is a judge for the Civil Court of the City of New York in Kings County. She was elected to the Civil Court bench in 2017.

She is a registered Democrat.

She received her B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1994. Kennedy went on to earn a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 1997.

She began her legal career in private practice. Kennedy joined the Law Office of John DiGiovanna, Malapero, and Prisco LLP as an associate and practiced in that capacity until being named a partner in 2009. She remained with the firm until her election to the bench.

Kennedy is a member of the Bay Ridge Lawyers Association and the Brooklyn Bar Association.
