The Hon. Norman E. Osborne (Ret.) served as a judge for the Doña Ana County Magistrate Court in New Mexico. He was elected to the bench in 2014 and 2018. Osborne resigned from the bench at the conclusion of his term in 2022.
Prior to his election, Osborne was the Court Executive Officer of the 3rd Judicial District Court in Las Cruces. He has served the court since 2003, holding assignments as a law clerk, a staff attorney, and a supervising attorney.
Osborne earned a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1986.
After graduating from law school, Osborne served the public as a district public defender for the Otero County Public Defender’s Office, an assistant attorney general for the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, and an assistant district attorney in Curry, Roosevelt, and Otero Counties.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Osborne relocated to New Mexico in 1981.
He is registered as a Democrat.
