The Hon. Noah Franzblau is a judge for the Morris/Sussex County Superior Court (Vicinage 10) in New Jersey. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Chris Christie on January 17, 2017.
Franzblau has held assignments in the Family Division in Sussex County (2017 to 2019), Salem County (2017 to 2019), and Morris County (2017 to 2019). He currently sits in the Civil Division in Morris County (2020 to present).
Prior to his appointment, Franzblau was of counsel to Franzblau Dratch in Livingston. He specialized in taxation, intellectual property law, employment, corporate, and commercial law matters.
Franzblau earned a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in 1990. He then completed an M.B.A. from the University of Denver (1994) and a J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law (1994). He is admitted to practice in New Jersey (1994) and Colorado (1995).
After graduating from law school, Franzblau began his legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. Alan B. Handler of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Then, in 1995, he entered into private practice, working as an associate at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti. During that time, he handled corporate real estate matters.
He was a resident of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, at the time of his appointment. His mother was a psychoanalyst in New York, and his father was a partner in Franzblau Dratch in New Jersey. His wife, Marjorie, has also worked as an attorney, serving as a senior trial attorney with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in New York. When not presiding over legal matters, he enjoys playing golf and coaching youth soccer.
