Biography

The Hon. Mary F. Covington is a judge for the 22B Judicial District Court of North Carolina. She joined the bench in 2002.


The 22B Judicial District includes Davidson and Davie County.


Before beginning her judicial career, Covington worked as an assistant district attorney since 1998.


She received a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Belmont University in 1990. Covington then completed a J.D. at Regent University School of Law in 1993.


She was appointed by Chief Justice Cheri Beasley to serve as a member of the North Carolina State Council for Interstate Juvenile Supervision.


Covington is registered as a Republican.
