Biography

The Hon. M. Casey Rodgers is a judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. She was nominated to the bench by former President George W. Bush on July 14, 2003, filling a seat vacated by the Hon. Lacey A. Collier. Her nomination was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 20, 2003.


Prior to her nomination, Rodgers was a magistrate for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, a position to which she was named in 2002. Before that, she spent time as an attorney in private practice in Pensacola (1999 to 2002) as well as general counsel to the West Florida Medical Center (1998 to 1999).


Rodgers earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida in 1989. She then completed a J.D. at California Western School of Law in 1992.


After graduating from law school, Rodgers began her legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Lacey A. Collier of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. She served in that capacity until 1994, at which time she entered into private practice at Clark, Partington, Hart, Larry, Bond & Stackhouse.


Born in Pensacola, Florida, Rodgers attended Gulf Breeze High School. She is a veteran of the United States Army (1985 to 1987).
