The Hon. Laurance Nicholas Chandler Rogers is a referee for the Union County Youth Court in Mississippi.
Rogers also serves as the attorney for the Union County Board of Supervisors and operates his own private practice, the Rogers Law Group, P.A., in New Albany. At his firm, he handles cases involving motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, defective products, mass tort/class actions, workers’ compensation, bad faith insurance, criminal defense, divorce, child custody, corporate law, and civil litigation matters.
Over the course of his legal career, Rogers served as an attorney for the Union County Development Association, a Public Defender of Union County, and an attorney for the Town of Blue Springs.
He received a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from the University of Mississippi in 2004. Rogers then completed a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2007. While a law student, he studied abroad at Cambridge University’s Faculty of Law in Cambridge, United Kingdom, and participated in the Accelerator Summer Business Institute program through the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
Rogers was admitted to practice in Mississippi, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
He has been involved with the New Albany Rotary Club, the Dean Provence Endowment for Excellence, and the Union County Habitat for Humanity (past president).
Rogers, who was born and raised in New Albany, Mississippi, graduated valedictorian from New Albany High School in 1999 and is an Eagle Scout.
