The Hon. Louise M. DiMatteo is a judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia in Arlington County. She was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly in 2012.
Prior to her election, DiMatteo was a prosecutor with the Arlington County Attorney’s Office. Before that, she worked as an assistant county attorney and a senior assistant public defender in Fairfax County and as a private practice attorney.
DiMatteo received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia. She then completed a J.D. at Washington and Lee University School of Law.
DiMatteo and her husband, Michael Megargee, a science teacher at Wakefield High School, have one daughter.
