The Hon. Loren P. Hildebrandt is a magistrate for the Anchorage District Court in the 3rd Judicial District of Alaska. He was appointed to the bench in 2024.
The 3rd Judicial District includes Anchorage, Cordova, Dillingham, Glennallen, Homer, Kenai, Kodiak, Naknek, Palmer, Sand Point, St. Paul Island, Seward, Unalaska, and Valdez.
Prior to joining the bench, his legal career included serving as a staff attorney and the coordinator for the Early Resolution Program with the Alaska Court System. Hildebrant also taught hearing and trial preparation to pro se litigants and was part of the legal team for the Alaska Court System’s Department of Access to Justice Services.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. Hildebrandt then completed a J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law in 2009.
Hildebrandt is a past president of the Anchorage Bar Association.
