The Hon. Lisa Y. Wilson is an associate judge for the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. She was appointed to the bench by the judges of the 10th Judicial Circuit in 2009.
The 10th Judicial Circuit includes Marshall County, Peoria County, Putnam County, Stark County, and Tazewell County.
Over the course of her judicial career, Wilson has focused on restorative justice, treatment, and prevention, presiding over the Mental Health Court, the Veterans Court, the Drug Court, and the Criminal DUI Court in Peoria County.
Wilson earned a J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1987. After graduating from law school, Wilson began her legal career as a staff attorney for Prairie State Legal Services.
Her memberships have included the Tenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee of the Public Interest Law Initiative. She was instrumental in launching the Tenth Judicial Circuit Conflict of Interest Pro Bono Referral Panel Pilot Program, which provides a referral source for Prairie State Legal Services’ Peoria Office.
She is a recipient of the Business and Professions Award from the Community Foundation of Central Illinois (2016), the Outstanding Achievement Professions Award from the Pekin YWCA (2011), the Legal Advocate Award from Illinois Legal Aid Online (2009), and the Excellence Award from Prairie State Legal Services (1995).
