Biography

Hon. Lawrence Killoran is a judge for the Humboldt County Superior Court in California. He was elected to the bench in 2018.


He received a B.A. in history from San Jose State University in 1997. Killoran went on to complete a J.D. at Golden State University School of Law in 2000. He was admitted to practice in California in 2001.


After graduating from law school, Killoran began his legal career as an associate in a small firm in Arcata, where he practiced criminal defense for three years. He later joined Scott, Robinson & Killoran in 2004. During his tenure there, Killoran handled a caseload that included civil and family law cases, including child custody and visitation, property division, child support, spousal support, retirement division, guardianships, adoptions, adult conservatorships, domestic violence restraining orders, civil harassment restraining orders, and breach of contract.


He and his wife, Pam, have three daughters. Killoran spent ten years as a volunteer soccer coach for Mad River Soccer League, having been named Coach of the Year in 2012.
