The Hon. Kyle Russ is a judge for the East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court in Louisiana. He was elected to the bench in 2023.
Russ earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then completed a J.D. at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
After graduating from law school, Russ served as a staff attorney to the Hon. Annette Lassalle and Hon. Hunter Greene with the East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court (2011 to 2015). Then, in 2015, he became an assistant district attorney in the Family Law Section of the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office, where he remained until his election to the bench.
Russ has been an active member of the Family Court Section of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Support Enforcement Association, and the Louisiana District Attorneys Association.
He and his wife, Lindsey, have two children and a dog named, Magnolia. The family attends First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge.
He is registered as a Republican.
