The Hon. Keith A. Jensen (Ret.) served as an associate judge for the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. Jensen was appointed to the bench by the judges of the 3rd Judicial Circuit in 2007. He retired on August 31, 2014.
The 3rd Judicial Circuit includes Madison County and Bond County.
Prior to his appointment, Jensen was general counsel for the Illinois State Police, a position to which he was named in 2003. Before that, he was the owner of the Jensen Law Office (1997 to 2003) and an assistant attorney general for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office (1991 to 1999).
Jensen earned a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1974. He then completed a J.D. at Washington University School of Law in 1976. He is admitted to practice in Illinois (1977), Missouri (1994), and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois (1979).
After graduating from law school, Jensen spent time as an assistant state’s attorney with the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office and the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Raised in Normal, Illinois, Jensen attended Normal Community High School.
