Biography

The Hon. Karen K. Gallagher is a judge for the Probate and Juvenile Division of the Williams County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike DeWine on December 31, 2020, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Steven R. Bird.


Prior to her appointment, Gallagher presided as a magistrate for the Williams County Court of Common Pleas, a position to which she was selected in 2016. Before that, she was a partner at Gallagher & Gallagher in Bryan.


Gallagher earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Toledo College of Law.


Her memberships have included the Ohio State Bar Association, the Williams County Bar Association, the Bryan Rotary Club, the Bryan Area Foundation, and Bryan Area Business Women (president). She is also actively involved with the Trinity Lutheran Church Council.


A resident of Bryan, Ohio, Gallagher is married with one child.
