The Hon. Joshua W. Willey is a judge for the Craven County Superior Court in the 3B Judicial District of the 2nd Division in North Carolina. He was elected to the bench on November 8, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John Nobles.
Willey earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Wake Forest University in 1974. He then completed a J.D. at Wake Forest University School of Law in 1977.
He is licensed to practice in North Carolina (1977), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina (1978), the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit (1982), and the United States Supreme Court (2001).
