The Hon. Joshua C. Devine is a judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Mike Parson on June 12, 2020, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Jodie Capshaw-Asel.
The 13th Judicial Circuit is composed of Boone County and Callaway County.
Prior to his appointment, Devine was an associate judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Boone County, a position to which he was named in 2018.
Devine earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Truman State University in 2003. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2007. As a law student, Devine was the Note & Comment Editor for the Missouri Law Review.
After graduating from law school, Devine entered into private practice, specializing in complex civil litigation. He started as an attorney at Ford, Parshall & Baker (Columbia) and Husch Blackwell (St. Louis). Then, in 2015, he became the principal attorney at Rogers, Ehrhardt, Weber & Howard.
His memberships have included IMPACT Rotary Club of Columbia (president) and the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri.
Raised in Columbia, Missouri, Devine attended Hickman High School. His wife, Christina, works as an attorney for Boone County Family Resources in Columbia. They have two children and attend the Crossing Church.
He is registered as a Republican.
