Hon. Jonathan R. Fordham is a judge for the Bleckley County Probate Court in Georgia. He joined the bench in 2020.
Prior to joining the judiciary, Fordham had worked as a sole practitioner in his own private practice, The Law Office of Jonathan R. Fordham, LLC, in Cochran since 2015. As such, he represented clients in probate, criminal, and civil matters.
His legal career also included serving as an assistant district attorney with the Oconee County District Attorney’s Office (2018 to 2020) and a judicial staff attorney for the Hon. Howard C. Kaufold, Jr., Hon. Sarah F. Wall, and Hon. C. Michael Johnson with the Oconee Judicial Circuit Superior Court (2016 to 2018).
In addition, Fordham spent time as a bar exam grader for the Themis Bar Review (2015 to 2020) and co-founded Impromech, LLC in 2014, which serves the school bus maintenance and repair market by providing upgraded bus parts.
He received an A.S. in agricultural engineering from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (1996) and a B.S. in education from Middle Georgia College (2012). Fordham went on to complete a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in 2015. While a law student, he was an intern for the Warner Robins City Attorney’s Office (2014), the Oconee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office (2015), and the Bibb County Probate Court (2015).
Fordham has held a membership with the State Bar of Georgia since 2015. He has served for two terms as vice-chair of the Bleckley County Board of Education.
He is a lifelong resident of Bleckley County and a graduate of Bleckley County High School. He and his wife, DeanAnne, have three children. Fordham is a member of Salem Baptist Church. He is also the part-owner and operator of Fordham Brothers Farm in Cochran, Georgia.
