The Hon. John E. LeBlanc (Ret.) served as a judge for the 17th Judicial District Court of Louisiana. LeBlanc was elected to the bench on November 3, 1998. He retired on September 30, 2022.
The 17th Judicial District encompasses Lafourche Parish. Over the course of his judicial career, LeBlanc held assignments on the Lafourche Parish Drug Treatment Court.
LeBlanc earned a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at the Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in 1985. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana (1986).
Raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana, LeBlanc graduated from E.D. White Catholic High School.
