The Hon. Jennifer J. Knox (Ret.) served as a judge for the Wake County District Court in the 10th Judicial District of North Carolina. Knox was elected to the bench in 2004. She resigned following her election as Clerk of the Wake County Superior Court in 2014.
Knox earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Wingate University in 1995. She then completed a J.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2000.
After graduating from law school, Knox began her legal career as an assistant district attorney in the Wake County District Attorney’s Office. She served in that capacity until her election to the bench.
Knox was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she attended Hale High School.
She is registered as a Republican.
