The Hon. Jeffrey P. Bennett is a judge for the 24th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia. He was elected to the seat by the Virginia General Assembly in 2023, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Michael Garrett.
The 24th Judicial Circuit includes the City of Lynchburg and Amherst, Bedford, Campbell, and Nelson Counties.
Bennett began his judicial career as a judge for the 24th Judicial District Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court in 2015. Before that, he was a deputy commonwealth’s attorney for the City of Lynchburg, having worked for the office for thirteen years.
Bennett is a native of Chesterfield County, Virginia.
