Hon. Jeffrey L. Simmons (Ret.) was a judge for the Vinton County Court of Common Pleas (General and Domestic Relations Division) in Ohio. After more than twenty-one years on the bench, Simmons retired in February 2020.
He held the distinction of being the longest-tenured judge in Vinton County.
Simmons received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University in 1976. He went on to complete a J.D. at the Ohio State University, Michael E. Moritz School of Law in 1979.
After retiring from the bench, Simmons hoped to spend more time outdoors, exploring the local hiking trails. He also wants to spend more time with his family including his grandchildren.
