The Hon. Jeffrey D. Goodwin is a judge for the Snohomish County District Court in Washington. He was appointed to the bench by the Snohomish County Council in 2004.
Over the course of his judicial career, Goodwin sat as the Presiding Judge of the Snohomish County District Court (2009 to 2010). He also established the Mental Health Court and served on the Strategic Planning Committee, theJail Inmate Population Task Force, and the County-wide Criminal Justice Committee.
Goodwin earned a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1994. After graduating from law school, Goodwin entered into private practice, handling criminal and civil litigation. He started as an associate at McCluskey, Sells, Ryan, Uptegraft & Decker. Then, in 1995, he opened his own private practice as a sole practitioner. During this time, he also served as the Prosecuting Attorney for the Cities of Port, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Arlington, and Lake Stevens.
His memberships have included the Rotary Club of Lynnwood (president), the Northshore School District PTSA, the Lynnwood Rotary Community Foundation Board, and the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club.
