Biography

The Hon. Jeffrey A. Wagner is a judge for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in the 1st Judicial District of Wisconsin. He was elected to the bench in 1988.

Wagner has served as presiding judge of the Felony Division.

Prior to his election, Wagner was an assistant city attorney for the Milwaukee City Attorney's Office, a position to which he was named in 1977. Before that, he spent time as an attorney in private practice (1976 to 1977).

Wagner earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He then completed a J.D. at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1976. He is licensed to practice in Wisconsin (1977).
