The Hon. Jeffrey A. Goffinet is an associate judge on the 1st Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. Goffinet was appointed to the bench by the judges of the 1st Judicial Circuit Court in 2015.
The 1st Judicial Circuit includes Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, and Williamson counties.
Prior to his appointment, he was a partner at Brandon, Schmidt & Goffinet in Carbondale.
Goffinet received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at Southern Illinois University, Simmons Law School, in 1984.
Goffinet co-chaired the Illinois Supreme Court’s AI Task Force.
