The Hon. Jeff Brudie (Ret.) was a judge for the 2nd Judicial District Court of Idaho. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Dirk Kempthorne in 2001. Brudie retired on December 13, 2021.
The 2nd Judicial District includes Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis, and Nez Perce Counties.
He held an assignment in Nez Perce County. During his judicial tenure, Brudie served as Administrative Judge of the 2nd Judicial District (2009 to 2012) and was a past president of the Idaho District Judges Association.
Prior to his appointment, Brudie was vice president and general counsel for Regence BlueShield of Idaho since 1997. He first joined the office as a staff attorney in the Medical Service Bureau in 1994.
Before that, Brudie was in private practice at Knowlton, Miles, Merica & Brudie in Lewiston (1984 to 1994).
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho College of Engineering in 1981. Brudie then completed a J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law in 1984.
He was appointed to serve as a member of the Idaho Judicial Council in 2018 and was later named Executive Director in 2022.
