Judge Jaclene A. Agazarian: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Jaclene A. Agazarian is a judge on the Nassau County District Court in the 10th Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to the bench by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman in 2022, filling a seat vacated by the Hon. Elizabeth Fox-McDonough.


Prior to her appointment, Agazarian was a principal law clerk to the Hon. Edmund Dane of the Nassau County Supreme Court, a position to which she was named in 2018.


Agazarian earned a B.A. from Trinity College in 2004. She then completed a J.D. at the City University of New York School of Law in 2007. She was licensed to practice in New York (2008).


After graduating from law school, Agazarian began her legal career as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County. She served in that capacity until 2010, at which time she entered into private practice at Del Vecchio & Recine in Garden City. During her tenure there, she represented clients in matrimonial and family law matters.


Her memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, and the Nassau County District Court Judges Association.


She was a resident of Glen Head, New York, at the time of her appointment.
