Biography

The Hon. Jack W. Anderson is an assistant judge for the Windsor County Superior Court in Vermont.


Prior to his election, Anderson was an instructor, teaching at both the secondary and collegiate levels. He also owned a retail establishment (1988 to 1992), managed a wholesale business (1982 to 1988), and sat as a member of the Vermont State House of Representatives (1994 to 2004).


Anderson earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maine in 1970. He later completed a master's degree at the University of Vermont in 1995.


His memberships have included the Town of Woodstock Zoning Board of Appeals and the Vermont Architects Registration Board. He has also been involved with the Woodstock Historical Society, the Woodstock Community Trust, Historic Windsor, the Center for Research on Vermont, and the Association for the Preservation of Civil War Sites.


Born in Augusta, Maine, Anderson was a resident of Woodstock, Vermont, at the time of his election. He and his wife, Diane, have one child.
