Biography

The Hon. Gregory Glennon is a judge for the Vermont Superior Court. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Peter Shumlin on July 8, 2016, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Susan Fowler.


Glennon has held an assignment in the Probate Division in Chittenden County.


Prior to his appointment, he was general counsel to the Vermont Agency of Education. Before his tenure there, Glennon was in private practice at Kirkpatrick & Goldsborough in South Burlington, where he handled probate litigation and family law matters. Glennon entered private practice after working as an assistant district attorney in Suffolk County in Massachusetts and as legal counsel for the Massachusetts House of Representatives.


He received a bachelor’s degree from York College (1996) and a master’s degree in government and public administration from Northeastern University (1998). Glennon then completed a J.D. at New England Law in 2002.
